News @ Jains - Visit of Governor and CM to Jain Irrigation

On Saturday, 6th January, Her Excellency Srimati Pratibhatai Patil, Governor of Rajasthan and Honble Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt. Vasundhara Rajeji visited Hi-tech agricultural institute and food processing manufacturing facilities of Jain Irrigation in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.

They took complete review of all the modern practices being followed at this Ultra Modern Agricultural hub. They were keen to know which technologies and practices can be implemented in Rajasthan. They were accompanied by a high level delegation including Agriculture Minister, Agriculture Secretary and other officers. There were wide ranging discussion on various models which can be adopted to increase area under horticulture, water conservation, rain water harvesting, propagation of Micro - Irrigation, introduction of tissue culture and setting up of fruit and vegetable processing plants.

Honble Chief Minister opined that there were lot of relevant technologies and new approaches which could be adopted in State of Rajasthan for betterment of its farmers and rural population. She invited Jain Irrigation to start operations in Rajasthan. Jain Irrigation Chairman Mr. B. H. Jain committed to put lot of effort to promote these technologies in Rajasthan.
